Climate Physics and Geoengineering

<B>Abstract:</B>

In response to the global warming problem, there has been a recent renewed interest in geoengineering 'solutions' involving 'solar radiation management" by injecting particles into the stratosphere, brightening clouds, blocking sunlight with satellites between the Sun and Earth, or brightening the surface.

This short course will first discuss the global warming problem. It will then describe different proposed geoengineering designs, and show climate model calculations that evaluate both their efficacy and their possible adverse consequences.

<B>No registration is required.
Seating is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.
An informal lunch will be provided for all short course attendees.</B>
