JPL Open House
JPL's annual Open House will feature many demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies along with activities and presentations related to scientific research.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California is welcoming the public this weekend. On Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, the lab will open its doors and allow the public to come see exhibits and talk with JPL researchers.
Highlights of interest to the research community include exhibits on:
Power Technologies (such as MMRTG and Photovoltaic Fuel Cells)
JPL UV imaging technology (UV-CCD cameras)
Quantum-Well Infrared Photodetectors
Microdevices Laboratory presentations
Along with these technology demonstrations, there are several booths dedicated to Earth science, astrophysics, and planetary exploration. All of these display areas will have researchers on-hand to discuss JPL’s various missions and activities.
