Dr. Sofia Rahiminejad

Sofia Rahiminejad received her B.Sc. in Engineering Physics in 2009 from Chalmers University of Technology after that, she interned at Cornell University as a research assistant. She received her M.Sc. double diploma from both Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2011 as a part of the Erasmus Mundus master program. She has won two best poster awards at MME in 2012 and 2013, and one nomination for best poster at EuCAP 2015. She defended her PhD in December 2016 and has published over 20 papers. At the moment she has co-invented three patents and was one of the recipients of JPL’s postdoc research day award 2019. She is currently working in the Advanced Optical and Electromechanical Microsystems Group at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, USA. Her interests lie in the fields of innovation and microsystems.
