High Performance MEMS Gyroscope for NASA Space Missions

Future NASA missions will require compact, low power, robust inertial sensors capable of supporting stringent navigation and instrument pointing requirements within a harsh environment. To address this need JPL has developed and refined several designs of MEMS gyroscopes over the past decade. This talk will give an overview of the history of the MEMS gyroscope effort at JPL and the current status of the project.
