Matthias Ellmer

Spatial data has always fascinated me, as a kid you would often find me studying maps for hours at a time. Now, I am combining this passion with my love for software engineering and science as a researcher in satellite-based Earth observation. At JPL, I am working on improving the laboratories gravity field products, based on data from the GRACE and GRACE-FO satellite missions. A special focus lies on implementing meaningful uncertainty quantifications for these fields, allowing researchers to incorporate gravity and mass transport information more robustly into their scientific processing and policy recommendations.
