Exoplanet Science and Technology Fair

Friday, February 22, 2008

Talks and posters on all aspects of current and future exoplanet science will be on display Friday, Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in von Karman. Exoplanet science, a fast-growing area of astrophysics, has attracted many scientists and engineers who work at JPL and in greater Pasadena. The fair will feature talks and posters on all aspects of current and future exoplanet science, observing, instrumentation and missions, including connections with Earth science, planetary science, and disk science. About 35 speakers are expected, including Greg Laughlin, a leading exoplanet theorist and experimentalist; JPL Chief Scientist Dan McCleese; and JPL Director Charles Elachi. See http://exoplanets.jpl.nasa.gov for poster template and information. The event is sponsored by JPLs Center for Exoplanet Science. Refreshments provided, lunch available.
